The main focus of the company is on using hemp as a medicinal plant extract. Currently, the company is considered one of only a few suppliers to produce delta-8 THC extracts from hemp. Area 52 is not the only one providing CBD to medical conditions; however, it is one of very few providers to use hemp as a primary source of medicines. Most providers will try to convince the public, through advertisements, that their company has extracted CBD from "organic" sources and obtained a variety of therapeutic benefits.
The Area 52, is not medical marijuana. However, because of the nature of its medical marijuana offerings, it can be used as a justification for not testing the CBD. The company's web site claims that their medical marijuana products are highly regarded, and are frequently asked by doctors and other healthcare professionals. Therefore, the company requires consumers to order from a third party company, like the Area 52 brand, that sells only certified medical grade cannabis.
There is no indication that the federal government will soon make changes to the federal level of cannabis plant THC, only that they are considering changing the definition of "mature". Currently, it is illegal to buy or sell marijuana based on state law. In view of this, many people believe that the government may soon reclassify all cannabis plants, including CBD. If this were to happen, it would make it far more difficult for anyone to legally obtain the delta-8 THC, CBD, and other herbal extracts, because they would need a valid medical marijuana license in order to purchase them.
