Jody L. Lamp is the co-founder of the American Doorstop Project, which recently released its second series in agriculture history books: A History of Nebraska Agriculture: A Life Worth Living and A History of Montana Agriculture: A Life of Discovery. As an independent consultant and national project director, Lamp and her co-author Melody Dobson signed a multiple-book publishing agreement with The History Press to produce a series of agriculture history books.
Jody L. Lamp joined the Humanities Nebraska Speaker’s Bureau in 2016 beginning with her program presentation, Stories from Nebraska’s Agricultural History. Lamp honors Nebraska’s agricultural history with stories of the spaces, places, inventions, commodities, events and people that made Nebraska one of the top agricultural states in the nation and gave rise to such slogans as “The Beef State” and “The Cornhusker State.”
