About Us

Hi, I’m Genia Meyer, the maker and founder of Whale Tale Soapworks, where I handcraft ocean-inspired soaps, lip balms, bath salts, and car diffusers. My products are made in small batches with care, creativity, and high-quality ingredients — because I believe everyday items should be both beautiful and functional.
Whale Tale Soapworks began after a family tragedy, when I prayed for a way to share with my family that God is greater than our pain. On a whale-watching trip along the West Coast, a gray whale surfaced right beside our boat — a breathtaking reminder of God’s presence and power. That moment sparked the inspiration for Whale Tale Soapworks and continues to guide my work today.
While my inspiration came from the ocean, my business has truly flourished here in Nebraska. Nebraskans have been incredibly open to my products, and I love the culture here — people who value craftsmanship, authenticity, and quality. What started as a small creative outlet has grown into a thriving local business, and I’m so grateful to share my passion with customers who appreciate the story and heart behind each product.
